旧金山市区几乎每一条路都是上坡下坡,这是因为它是由50多座小山丘组成的。
Always heard about San Francisco from Hong Kong drama series, and surprisingly I were there myself! There are more than 50 hills forming the city and is famous for its steep rolling hills. Definitely need extraordinary parking skill. Three quarters of city was destroyed by eathquake and fire in 1906 but was quickly rebuilt.
金门大桥,建于1937年。
桥畔的铜像是为了纪念金门桥的设计者Joseph B.Strauss而建立的。
Statue to memorize Joseph B.Strauss who was chief engineer in charge of overall design and construction of the bridge project.
Golden Gate Park ~ 因为很大而时间又有限我们就走马看花的走过而已。

大大的标志上有著名的Dungeness Crab
在Pier39码头可以看到很多海狮懒散的躺在浮板上边晒太阳边唱歌。
Pier 39 - Lot of sea lions were sun bathing.
Palace of Fine Arts 也是旧金山的代表建筑物之一。
在网上搜寻了些有关资料,原来当时是以木头搭建而成的,
主要是想表达雄伟建筑却空无一物,人的寿命有限,欲望的虚无。
后来才重新以钢筋水泥重建。
我们并不是什么艺术家所以不会欣赏但是就觉得那里很美丽和浪漫。
Palace of Fine Arts - one of main landmark in San Francisco. The design was from Roman and Greek Architecture. The sculptured figures there represents "contemplation, wonderment and meditation". Too bad we did not have artistic sense but we greatly appreciate the romantic scenery.
Coit Tower
它的背后也是有段故事~ 是一名女性,
因小時從火場死里逃生,疯狂迷恋消防队员并还时常打扮成消防队员,
后来续承了丈夫的遗产捐出盖了这座救火英雄纪念塔,塔里还有很美丽的壁画。
Coit Tower - is a monument to the firefighters of San Francisco. Funded byLillie Hitchcock Coit who was a wealthy woman who loved to chase fires in the early days of the city's history. Very beautiful wall paintings inside.

旧金山最高的大楼,世界第100高建筑物。
